If you are looking for cats or anything related to the feline family, sorry, you have come to the wrong place. This is a personal blog about me --- a Mom of two young boys living in South Florida.

Besides being a mother to my children, I am also a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, all around family member and friend. Plus a mom to my fur-kid, Buster, a mixed breed Border Collie, who has his own website and dog-blog. I work in education but I am not a teacher. I think it takes a certain kind of person to be a teacher and I am not that person.

I started blogging in August of 2003 as an outlet to deal with PAD (Panic/Anxiety Disorder). That blog metamorphisized several times and I started anew in August 2005 into what is now catsteevens.

Catsteevens comes from a nickname my Aunt Patty has called me since as far back as I can remember. It's a nickname that evokes good feelings for me. Takes me back to my childhood, a place I always want to be.
